This popular program will introduce participants to the skills required to present a case to an arbitrator.
With the use of lectures, facilitated discussions, and practical exercises the experienced faculty will examine how to:
- Develop a theory of the case.
- Prepare an opening statement.
- Present evidence in an arbitration setting.
- Prepare and work with witnesses.
- Choose between oral and written closing arguments.
Participants will role-play aspects of the case preparation process – where the task will be to make an award and justify the decision.
Who should attend?
This workshop is for Labor and Management representatives in the private and public sectors, including; employee relations staff, attorneys, business agents, union representatives, supervisors, shop stewards and personnel specialists.
