Has mediated for AAA, court systems, federal government, and private organizations. 75% of practice involves mediation in business, commercial, employment, divorce, probate, small construction, personal injury, and securities; 20% of practice involves arbitration in business, commercial, and securities; 5% of practice involves training and mentoring of neutrals. Thirty years as an attorney handling business, tax, employment, regulatory compliance, and estate issues. Has regularly coached mediation trainees in role play simulations and has judged ABA and other student competitions in mediation and mediation advocacy.
Has served as a mediator in over 1,000 cases and has, for example, mediated dozens of business/contract disputes involving the purchase and sale of goods and services between businesses and involving issues such as interpretation of and conformance to contract requirements and measurement of damages. Has mediated 10-20 residential or small commercial construction cases between owners and contractors. Has mediated dozens of employment cases involving gender, race, age and disability discrimination, concerning termination, promotion and reassignment.
