Retired Judge for the Alameda County Superior Court, State of California. Past Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Scripps Research Institute (biomedical), La Jolla, California. Past member of the Board of Trustees of Santa Clara University School of Law.
Arbitration is limited to serving as a neutral arbitrator (solo or panel-member).  Extensive experience in administering civil and commercial arbitrations.  International arbitration experience includes disputes in patent licensing, oil contracts, employment claims, and multinational contract disputes.  Member of the American Arbitration Association International and Commercial Panels since 1992, serving on complex cases.  Neutral for World Intellectual Property Association (WIPO),  Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (London), International Chamber of Commerce, and Western Sweden Chamber of Commerce.  Arbitrator in over 150 civil cases and mediator of over 1000 disputes.  Mediated and arbitrated corporate, business, employment and shareholder disputes across a broad array of fields.
