Karen Jalkut currently is the New England Vice President for the Commercial Division. She is responsible for delivery of all commercial case management services, market development and the panel of neutrals for New England. Nationally she oversees the franchisee/franchisor caseload for the AAA.

 

She was formerly the Vice President - Northeast, American Arbitration Association (AAA) – Labor and Employment Division.  Her profession is - Neutral Provider of Dispute Resolution Services.  Her work history includes Vice President, Northeast, AAA (2005-present), Connecticut District Vice President (1982-2005), and Assistant Regional Vice President – Boston (1976-1982).  For over thirty years, Ms. Jalkut has been a spokesperson for alternate dispute resolution.  She has conducted training sessions, educational programs and elections on behalf of the AAA. Clients include law firms, corporations, municipalities, associations, state and federal agencies. ADR subject matter expertise includes, labor, employment, and business to business disputes.  She is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts. 

 

Her professional memberships include the Connecticut Bar Association -ADR Executive Committee and ABA – Franchise Section.  She was the 2006 award recipient of the Connecticut Woman of the Year from the Connecticut Labor and Employment Women Association and also the 2008 Quirk Award recipient from Providence College.
