Kent D.B. Sinclair
Kent D.B. Sinclair is a Managing Director with Stroz Friedberg where he leads the Boston, Massachusetts office. His work involves cybercrime and data breach response, digital forensics, and eDiscovery. Mr. Sinclair’s engagements include litigation support, internal investigations and cross-border data privacy and security issues.
Before joining Stroz Friedberg, Mr. Sinclair was a litigation partner with Seyfarth Shaw LLP, where he chaired the Cross-Border Dispute Resolution Group. Much of his work focused on trade secret disputes and commercial litigation, including representing information technology clients and disputes arising out of technology agreements. Additionally, Mr. Sinclair handled a broad range of financial and consumer class action litigations, specializing in matters involving data privacy and claims of unfair and deceptive business practices as well as the representation of non-U.S. clients in lawsuits and arbitrations pending in the U.S.
Before moving to Boston, Mr. Sinclair devoted several years to working on legal reform and civil society development projects throughout Central and Eastern Europe. In 1990, he served as a Lecturer on Jurisprudence at the Charles University Faculty of Law in Prague, Czech Republic. He also implemented projects in the region with the American Bar Association Central and East European Law Initiative, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the International Center for Not-For-Profit Law. Through this experience, Mr. Sinclair gained understanding of European civil law systems.
Mr. Sinclair received his J.D. from Yale Law School and earned a B.A. with high honors from Bates College.
