Mr. Bergman has mediated and arbitrated $93+ Billion in disputes since 1990 with emphasis on complex, multi-party cases including extensive mediation experience in areas of banking, bankruptcy, business, commercial, condemnation, construction, consumer, corporate, employment, franchise, fraud, insurance, landlord/tenant, malpractice, maritime, mass tort, municipalities, oil and gas, partnership, personal injury, premises, products liability, property, real estate, securities, toxic tort, usury and appeals. He has served as single arbitrator, panelist and chairman on more than 60 arbitration panels across the United States in hearings lasting from three months to one hour with cases ranging from complex multi-party to simple disputes including banking, commercial, construction, consumer, contract, employment, franchise, partnership, personal injury, real estate and securities matters.
Mr. Bergman has 5,000+ hours of basic and advanced mediation, negotiation and arbitration training and teaching experience, and has trained more than 5,000 attorney-mediators and judges across the United States, England, Mexico and Turkey. He is an Adjunct Professor at South Texas College of Law and Pepperdine Law School teaching classes in Mediation and Negotiation.
